1.5 oz. (20 cups) or 6 oz. (80 cups)

Grown in Panchthar, Nepal at an elevation of 6,000 feet, this white tea consists of young leaves and buds, making it a very "tippy" tea. The leaves are hand-plucked before withering and drying in natural sunlight. This minimal processing results in a lighter feel than green or black teas, along with a pale yellow liquor. Organically grown, White Sunrise has a velvety floral aroma with vanilla top-notes and a flavor of spring blossoms, muscatel and melted butter.

Brewing instructions
Amount: 2 grams of loose tea per cup of water (a pinch)
Temperature: 180 ̊ (When medium sized bubbles appear at the bottom of the pot)
Steep time: 3 - 4 minutes

About Our Nepalese Tea

Grown in the Himalayan foothills, Nepalese tea is extraordinary. However, years of industry underdevelopment, coupled with a decade-long civil war, served to stunt Nepal's economy. Development of tea farming in the country suffered as a result. Since the signing of a peace accord in 2006, Nepal's tea growers have sought to share their product with more and more drinkers around the world.

Our Nepalese tea comes from small farms in Ilam and Panchthar, a region just 45 miles west of Darjeeling, at an altitude of between 5,000 and 6,000 feet. The region is semi-tropical and very sunny, but has abundant rainfall.
